Rp 24 Billion Spent to Make Over 12 RW Slums in Central Jakarta

To realize them all, we spend Rp 24 billion or precisely Rp 2 billion per RW

The Central Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Sub-agency is about to make over 12 RW slums spread over eight urban villages in the near future.

Improvement and Settlements Division Head Sugeng Budiharto explained, it was carried out by making infiltration wells, communal septic tanks, public toilets, greening, installing streetlights, putting trash bins, making vertical parks and murals.

"To realize them all, we spend Rp 24 billion or precisely Rp 2 billion per RW," he said, Friday (2/26).

He explained those 12 RW slums were consisting of RW 05 (Karet Tengsin Urban Village), RW 12 (Kebon Melati Urban Village), RW 02 (Menteng Urban Village), RW 06 (Bungur Urban Village).

Then RW 01 and 02 (Johar Baru Urban Village), RW 08, 11 and 12 (Tanah Tinggi Urban Village), RW 08 and 10 (Utan Panjang Urban Village), and RW 05 (Mangga Besar Selatan Urban Village).
